Pastoral Care Program

At Lutheran School Wagga Wagga we believe that every child is a child of God that needs and deserves individual care.  We endeavour to lead our students to know their God and creator, themselves, and their place in society. Pastoral care embraces a total caring for each child and influences all teacher/student relationships.

LSWW is committed to the spiritual wellbeing of our entire school community.  We employ a School Chaplain to help cater for the pastoral care needs of LSWW students and their families.  The chaplain visits classes and can also be available by appointment.

The LSWW chaplain is active in the life of the school in areas such as:

  • conducting School Chapel services
  • teaching our key values of love, courage, appreciation, quality, service, respect, forgiveness, compassion, hope, humility and justice
  • coordinating our Care Giving Program

Our approach to pastoral care is serious. It is a priority, so each teacher places great importance in knowing and understanding each child in his or her care. In addition, the chaplain partners with our teachers to ensure that no child is left behind.
