From The Principal
As Term 4 continues to fly by, our school community is buzzing with energy and excitement. From joyful events to important updates, here’s a quick roundup of what’s been happening, and what’s coming next.
School Disco
This week’s school disco was a fantastic celebration! Students danced the night away, enjoying music, lights, and laughter. A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped make the evening so memorable.
Colour Run
Colour and joy was brought to the school grounds at the annual, vibrant Colour Run! This fun-filled event wasn’t just about getting messy, it was about giving back. The students raised funds for their legacy gift, a special contribution they’ll leave behind as they prepare to graduate. Thank you for your generosity and support. We couldn’t do it without the many sponsors who have donated. More information regarding the amount raised to come.
Tuition Fees for 2026
Families should have received an email yesterday outlining tuition fees for the 2026 school year. Please check your inbox for details and reach out to the office if you have any questions or need clarification. You can also access this here – Tuition Fees 2026.
Staffing Updates
Looking ahead, keep an eye out this Friday for an important communication regarding staffing arrangements for 2026. We’re excited to share plans that support our continued commitment to supporting and nurturing students to grow in a love of learning.
Looking ahead Planning for 2026
As we begin planning for the transition into new year levels, teacher allocations will not be confirmed until late in Term 4. For this reason, we are unable to accept specific teacher requests for the following year.
However, if there are factors you would like us to consider when placing your child in a classroom for 2026, please email us at [email protected]. While we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met, each will be thoughtfully considered during our planning process.
If you are planning to leave the school for relocation or other reasons, please let the office know as soon as possible. As per enrolment contracts, families should give the school one full term’s notice prior to leaving to avoid charges for Term 1 2026.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and engagement. Term 4 may be busy, but it’s full of meaningful moments that bring our community together.
Blessings,
Hollie Kinning
Principal
From The DEPUTY Principal
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, Term 4 is buzzing with opportunities for our students to learn, celebrate, and create lasting memories. Please keep checking Facebook – the parent groups and the official school page, and our newsletters for updates, as there’s plenty happening between now and the end of term.
Grandparents Day

Last week we were delighted to welcome so many grandparents and special older friends to our school for Grandparents Day. It was a joy to see our visitors spending time in our chapel service and classrooms, and joining their grandchildren for morning tea. The smiles, conversations, and sense of connection made it a truly special morning, reminding us of the important role grandparents play in our students’ lives and school community.
Year 5 & 6 Police talk
On Tuesday this week, our Year 5 and 6 students were visited by two of our local police officers, who spoke about staying safe online and how new government laws are helping to protect young people. They encouraged everyone to use their devices—phones, iPads, and laptops—to communicate clearly and kindly with others at all times. The officers also explained that everything shared online is traceable and discussed how a digital footprint can influence future job opportunities. The session was both informative and engaging, with students learning valuable tips about online behaviour and safety. One fun fact that really surprised everyone was that the average age of an online gamer in Australia is 36 years old!
CMRI Christmas Fair
Thank you to the nine students who proudly represented LPS at the CMRI Fair last Friday. The committee members were very appreciative of their help with lunch and drink sales, clearing tables during the busy lunchtime period, and for their overall enthusiasm and willingness to assist throughout the day. They were excellent role models and wonderful examples of the service-minded students we are so proud of at Lutheran.
Kinder Transition – Buddy Meetings
This week our Kindergarten 2026 students will enjoy a longer transition session at school, which includes meeting their Team 6 Buddy for next year (our current Year 5 students). The Buddy Program provides a wonderful leadership opportunity for our Team 6 students, allowing them to be a friend, positive role model, and guide for our incoming Kindergarten children. Our Year 5 students are eagerly looking forward to this experience, and we know they will demonstrate our school values, leadership, and genuine care towards their new young friends.
Leadership
Next Tuesday, we will celebrate our Year 5 students who are candidates for School Captain and Vice Captain for 2026. Their leadership speeches will take place in the Chapel from 9:10am, and parents are warmly invited to come along and watch. It’s wonderful to see our emerging leaders step up with confidence and demonstrate their potential as future leaders of our school.
Bethlehem Church Centenary Celebration

On Sunday 26th October, we were honoured to join Bethlehem Lutheran Church in celebrating 100 years of Lutheran worship in Wagga Wagga. It was a truly special occasion, filled with gratitude and community spirit. The beautiful voices of our school choir added a heartfelt touch to the service, their song echoing through the church as rain gently fell on the roof—a fitting reminder of God’s blessings. Afterwards, guests gathered in the church hall to admire the wonderful artworks created by each year group, showcasing our students’ creativity and connection to faith. It was a memorable celebration of history, worship, and community.

We will accommodate the changes where we can, but please let your children know about the new times.
Please see below information on the upcoming bus timetables and stops.
