Flourishing through faith, belonging and the pursuit of excellence.
From The Principal
As we approach the end of Term 1, it’s a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on the many experiences and milestones we’ve shared over the past weeks.
This term has been filled with a myriad of activities and achievements. We’ve seen settled students and classes, filled with eagerness to learn. Our parent information session helped to foster a strong sense of community, allowing us to connect and collaborate in support of our children’s educational journeys. The way we communicate has changed and our staff and families have embraced this change with positivity – thank you!
Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and joy—a time when we reflect on the profound love and sacrifice that lies at the heart of our faith. As we enter this Easter season, may you find joy in the company of loved ones and take time to reflect on the blessings in your life. Whether it’s the love of family and friends, the beauty in nature, or the simple joys of each day, let us be grateful for all that we have.
As we celebrate this Easter, may we also be reminded of the hope and new beginnings that come from His resurrection. Let us approach this season with open hearts, ready to embrace the blessings and opportunities that lie ahead.
Wishing you all a joyful and blessed Easter.

From The DEPUTY Principal
Can you believe we are almost at the end of Term 1? It feels like just yesterday we were in week 1, greeting our students as they began the school year. It has been such a fantastic term! We have loved seeing our students work hard, make progress, and build lasting friendships while having fun along the way.
Cross Country Carnival
We were fortunate to have the most beautiful weather for our Cross Country Carnival last week. A big thank you to the parent volunteers who helped staff run such a successful event. It was amazing to see our students supporting one another and fully embracing the spirit of the occasion, truly reflecting our school values. A special shout-out to Ms. Stewart for all the hard work she puts in behind the scenes, preparing and organizing everything to make sure the cross country was a success and enjoyable for all.
Casual 4 a Cause & Easter Hat Parade
Please don’t forget tomorrow:
ANZAC Day
This year ANZAC Day will fall during the school holidays.
Thank you to those students that have filled out their forms https://forms.office.com/r/V7ZJmvaq7y to let us know they will be participating in the march with our school. On this day, our Captains will lay a wreath at the cenotaph.
On the first day back of school, students will participate in an ANZAC Day service here at school. This service will involve SRC Members laying a wreath near our school flagpole, listening to the last post, and hearing a member of our Armed Services speak.
Uniform
We have a two-week changeover period from Summer to Winter uniform in Term 2 for weeks 1 & 2. During this time, students can wear either Summer uniform or Winter uniform, BUT not a combination of both. The choice of uniform reflects our knowledge of the unpredictable temperatures at this time of year.
A reminder that students can now wear either their woollen jumper OR their sport jumper with their Winter dress uniform.
School Holiday Date Reminders
Please note that school will finish tomorrow, Thursday 10th April, as teachers will be conducting Parent Teacher Conferences on the Thursday evening and Friday.
Students will return to school on Tuesday 29th April with Monday 28th being a pupil free staff development day.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable Easter break and gets to spend some quality time with their family.

Lutheran Legends Award
Congratulations to the students that received Lutheran Legends Awards at last Friday’s assembly.
Values Focus
Over the course of term 1 we have leaned into the value of courage by hearing the stories of the people of God who have lived a life of courage. Through the stories of Miriam, Deborah, Hannah, Naomi and Ruth, Esther and Mary we hear of people who have done great things for God and through whom God has done great things.
One key takeaway for me this term is that courage is often a choice, one that we need to keep making over and over again. Much like a habit, courage grows with practice and as it does we become less afraid of making courageous decisions and saying yes to God.
The other lesson for me is that it isn’t courage if we’re not afraid. All the people we explored throughout the term were afraid, yet still chose to be brave and God stood with them.
I’d like to think that we can learn from and be inspired by the stories of the people of God, that one day we may be courageous people too and be able to say yes when God calls us and stand up for love, especially when it’s scary.
Perhaps this holiday your family can share stories of times when you’ve been brave, or share moments when you’ve been afraid and how you might be able to help each other be courageous when that happens again.
If your home loves to sing, here are three songs we’ve sung regularly through the term at Chapel.

Curriculum Matters
Premier’s Reading Challenge
Congratulations to the four students who have already completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge. These students are Jonah Keyes, Shanvi Garlapati, Leah Jeong and Fareeha Ayeni. What an amazing effort! The challenge is open until Week 9 Term 3, so there is plenty of time for students to get reading and then log their books!
Library Lovers Winners
This term, our library hosted a challenge to see which class could demonstrate the most consistent respect and care for our space. Students were encouraged to keep the library neat and tidy, return books to their correct places, handle resources with care, and most importantly, regularly borrow appropriate and engaging books. We are excited to announce that the winning classes for this term are 6H and KW. Congratulations to both classes for their outstanding efforts! We look forward to running this challenge again in Term 2.
