From The Principal
Welcome to Term 3!
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable break with your families. We’re entering a term that promises to be both busy and rewarding, filled with rich learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.
Save the Date: Wednesday 13 August (Week 4) You’re invited to Beyond the Classroom – Our Why & How, an evening dedicated to sharing our updated Strategic Plan, the journey behind it, and exciting insights into our evolving ‘Why’. We’ll also showcase some of the meaningful learning initiatives happening across our classrooms.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect, gain insights, and celebrate our shared learning journey. Wine and cheese will be served, and a creche service will be available for those who require it.
To help us plan catering and creche arrangements, please RSVP using the link to the form below. We look forward to seeing you there!

Stay Connected With Us!
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to follow our social media accounts to stay up-to-date on all the exciting things happening—from student achievements to fun events and inspiring videos.
We ask that you please share our posts with your friends and family. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful ways to spread the news, and with your help, we can let the whole community know just how great our school really is!
Let’s get the word out—one share at a time.
Blessings,

Tournament of Minds
We’re excited to share that our school will be proudly hosting the Tournament of Minds (ToM) for the very first time for the Riverina region!
With 22 primary and secondary schools registered to take part, this promises to be a fantastic day of creativity, collaboration and problem-solving. Tournament of Minds is a international enrichment program that challenges students to solve open-ended problems across disciplines such as STEM, Language Literature, Social Sciences and The Arts—encouraging teamwork, critical thinking and innovation.
As hosts, we’re also presented with a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our school community. In the coming weeks, we’ll share ways you can help—whether through baking or donating items for the cake stall, volunteering your time on the day, or helping run food sales from our canteen, every bit of help makes the day run smoother.
One of the exciting fundraisers will be a chocolate trailer, and we need your help gathering prizes. Chocolate blocks are now on sale at the major supermarkets—if you’re able to pick one up, please send it into the office clearly labelled for ToM. Thank you for your support in helping us make this a memorable and successful event!

Stage In The Spotlight
Year 5 – National Tree Planting Day
On Friday the 25th July, Year 5 took part in a special environmental initiative by planting trees to help preserve the planet for future generations in recognition of National Tree Planting Day. With each tree planted, the students learned about the importance of sustainability and the role trees play in reducing carbon footprints. Their hands-on efforts not only contributed to their local ecosystem at school but also deepened their connection to the environment, fostering a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship. It was a day filled with learning, teamwork, and making a positive impact on the world around them.
Year 6 Canberra Excursion
At the end of last term, Team 6 undertook an educational tour of the National Capital. Students participated in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the National Capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $30 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
Thank you to Mrs Whatmuff, Mrs Wadley, Mrs Bowman and Mrs Antrim for giving up their time to take Team 6 students on this experience.
