Exciting News: Supporting Wellbeing in 2026
We are thrilled to announce that our school has been successful in receiving a Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Community Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Grant of $25,420. We are incredibly grateful to Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network for this opportunity. This funding will allow us to introduce programs across our school in 2026 that aim to support and promote community mental wellness throughout the Murrumbidgee region.
More information to come in the new year, however, the grant will fund the following initiatives:
• Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for all staff at Lutheran School
• The Resilience Project will be implemented for all students across K-6
• Peer Support Program – students in Year 6 will be trained and run this program for all students across the school
These programs will strengthen our commitment to student wellbeing and help build a resilient, supportive school community.
Season’s Greetings
As we wrap up a wonderful year, I want to thank our entire school community for your support throughout 2025. Your commitment and positivity have made this year truly special.
I look forward to a positive and productive new year together, and I warmly welcome all Year 1 to 6 students and families, both new and returning, back on Monday, 2nd February. Our Kindergarten students will begin on Tuesday, 3rd February, and we can’t wait to see their bright smiles as they start their learning journey.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, may His love and light fill your hearts and homes this Christmas season. Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas, hope, joy, peace, and goodwill, and carry these blessings into the new year.
Wishing you Christmas blessings and a safe, joyful holiday period with your loved ones.
See you in the new year!

PRINCIPAL APPRAISAL
Thank you to the parents and carers who participated in the recent Principal Appraisal Survey for our Principal, Mrs Hollie Kinning. The report highlighted many strengths in Hollie’s leadership and affirmed the positive direction in which she is guiding our school.
Hollie is highly respected by staff and parents alike. She is recognised as professional, authentic and relational, inspiring confidence through her measured decision-making and genuine care for others. Staff noted improvements in school culture and morale, and appreciated her encouragement of open communication, collaboration and consultation.
Her warm, approachable manner and strong interpersonal skills were consistently acknowledged. Hollie is visible across the school, makes time for people, and keeps students at the centre of her decisions. Her leadership is grounded in a strong personal faith, reflected through her participation in the worship, devotional and prayer life of the school and her commitment to upholding our Lutheran ethos.
We give thanks to God for Hollie’s leadership and the strengths she brings to our community. The appraisal report, together with our strategic plan, will guide her Professional Learning Plan as she continues to lead our school with clarity, compassion and purpose.
Regards,
Johanna Stanton

Mini Orientation
Next Monday, 8th December, students will attend ‘Mini Orientation’ for the morning session. This is an important experience where students can spend time in their new learning environment for 2026 and hear about opportunities they will have next year. I am sure this will be a valuable experience for all of our students.
SRC update:
Christmas Coloured Mufti
On Thursday 11th December, everyone is welcome to wear Christmas coloured mufti. Please remember to be SunSmart by wearing sleeves and a hat, and ensure footwear is sensible for school activities. No gold coin is required.
Medication in Sick Bay
If your child has medication in sick bay could you please ensure that this is picked up by Friday 12th December.
2026
Any medications that the school distributes to children MUST either include the original packaging or be provided in blister packs. This ensures we are following the exact instructions of your family doctor.
Medication MUST be handed into the office by a parent or carer. We cannot accept medication in snap lock bags from students.
Medication can be handed into the office from Wednesday 21 January 2026.
Gifts of Grace
Let’s finish the year by making a real difference! Our SRC is supporting ALWS Gifts of Grace. Each class has chosen a life-changing gift from the catalogue—such as a goat or a chicken for a family, or school supplies for children.
Please send your cash donation in an envelope to your child’s teacher by Friday, 5 December. Every contribution counts and helps bring hope this Christmas!
Thank you for sharing the joy of giving this festive season.
Semester Two reports
Teachers have been busy writing Semester Two reports. These will be available to parents on Parent Lounge on TASS on Monday 8 December. An email will be sent out on Monday when the reports are ready to be viewed.

Year 6 Activities Evening
Tonight our Year 6 students will celebrate their years together with an evening of fun and reflection. They will enjoy time on inflatables on the oval, share a meal, watch a photo slideshow, and listen to speeches from our Vice Captains.
We hope this special occasion allows our Year 6 students to create new memories while reminiscing about their time at Lutheran School Wagga Wagga.
Year Six Graduation service
We will officially farewell our Year 6 students at the Graduation Service on Wednesday, 10 December at 6:30pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
We pray God’s richest blessings for each student as they begin their next chapter at new schools in 2026.
As they move forward, may they carry with them hope, confidence, and excitement for the adventures that lie ahead.
Thank you Parents and Carers
I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all parents and caregivers for your partnership and support throughout this year.
Your commitment to your children’s learning and development has been invaluable, and we deeply appreciate the role you play in our school community.
As we approach the Christmas season, I pray that God’s peace and joy fill your homes and hearts.

Performing arts showcase concert
What a Showcase!
A big thank you and a ‘very well done’ to the students who shared their amazing talents and hard work, at our Performing Arts Showcase concert on Tuesday morning.
Thank you to the students in our String Ensemble and our school Choir for sharing their pieces.
Our ears were also treated to the wonderful performances of a celloist, a flautist, a guitarist, a dancer, violinists, and many pianists.
We heard poems and enjoyed a couple very funny skits. The variety was simply amazing.
Our captains are to be commended for hosting the concert in a very smooth and professional way. They were well supported by vice-captains and our ‘tech team’.
Our appreciation goes to Stephanie Johnston (Choir), Pearl Bowen (String Ensemble), the many other music, dance and drama teachers for their preparation and support our students – not just for the concert, but all year.
It is wonderful that our Performing Artists get to ‘showcase’ what they can do.
A huge thank you to Mr Beau Woodland for his technical and practical support, along with Deputy, Emma Davenport and our wonderful office staff for their administration assistance.
Thank you to the supportive parents, families and friends for your presence and positivity.
It was such a lovely concert.
