We hope you will get involved within the school community as a volunteer. Not only do you make a difference in the lives of students, you will build friendships and connections with other families.
CLASS CARE COORDINATOR
To facilitate genuine community, each class at Lutheran School Wagga Wagga has a parent representative known as the Class Care Coordinator. The Class Care Coordinator’s role is to facilitate social activities amongst parents, provide a welcome to new parents and act as a vital communication link between the parents of that specific year level.

Volunteer on campus
Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Parents are able to help during sporting events, excursions, camps, in the canteen and in classrooms.
Child, staff and volunteer safety is our greatest priority. For this reason, parents who volunteer need to complete a few tasks prior to commencing their work with staff and students.
Obtain a Working with Children Check number. This can be done by visiting Services New South Wales center in Wagga. They are free of charge.
Complete the online module ‘Valuing Safe Communities’ (VSC). This module will take around 25 minutes to complete. Upon completion of the module you will receive a certificate. The certificate should be renewed every 3 years. Please email this certificate to [email protected].
Finally, arrange a time to meet with the Deputy Principal who will talk to you about a number of routines and expectations when you are working with students.
