“I first stepped into Lutheran School Wagga Wagga in 1989 as a Year 3 student. From that day forward the staff, parents and students have been nothing but welcoming, nurturing and supportive. Some 30 years later I couldn’t wait for my eldest daughter to start in such a warm and friendly environment. The Kindergarten experience has been such a fun and exciting time for our family. She can not wait to go back each day for new adventures and experiences! A big thank you to all the past and present staff for making what could be a very stressful and tedious time anything but!”
"We could not be happier with the Lutheran School. Our son has had a seamless transition from preschool to kindergarten and is thriving in the very caring and supportive school environment. We have found the parent teacher communication to be excellent."
"The teachers at LSWW genuinely want to see the kids achieve both academically and in their own personal development, which is what we also want as parents."
"Sending our first child off to school last year was an anxious time, especially with our child having life-threatening food allergies. All of the teachers and support staff gave us great comfort. The genuine care shown towards all students by all staff is amazing. We could not be happier with our decision in sending our children to Lutheran. "
"Very well organised routines and processes which assisted our child and us to adapt to school life."
“The school community still has the same warm, caring and inviting environment as it did back in the 80s and 90s when I was a student, providing the children with a strong sense of belonging."
"Excellent communication from all staff members, both administrative and teaching staff."
“The community of other parents and families is a wonderful support.”
"A welcoming, well organised and engaging after school/vacation care program."
“By keeping staff aware of issues happening away from school, they were able to support my children in a holistic manner, which is greatly appreciated.”
"My children love being able to participate in the activities that the school engages in, and it is a pleasure to watch them represent the school so proudly.”
“I always appreciate the friendly professional approach of the staff. It makes you feel welcomed and appreciated.”

STUDENTS' Testimonials
“I have developed so much from LSWW and I have got to thank
LSWW for all the events and all the things that we have done at
school. One of my strengths I developed at LSWW is Maths, I
am really good at it now. My confidence has also improved as
I never used to put my hand up in class but now I do. A skill
that I also achieved at my time with LSWW has to be in sport.
Since I was younger, sport has always been something that I
have loved. My time at LSWW has been fantastic!” - Jonny, Class of 2021
"Lutheran School has helped me to grow and be
more confident. I never used to put my hand up
in class unless I knew I was correct but now I am
willing to make mistakes because I know that
you have to make them to learn. Also, because I
am more confident it made me a better House
Vice-Captain as I could lead cheers at carnivals.
Now I am not as worried about making speeches
or trying new things. I love being more confident.
So thank you Lutheran for helping me come out
of my shell." - Sophie, Class of 2021
"Lutheran School Wagga Wagga taught me how to become
more organised, especially when we get lots of
assignments. I could get my work done quicker in the time
limit, instead of leaving it for the last minute. LSWW has
also helped me to open up more, because I would normally
never put my hand up because I would think that I would
get the answer wrong whereas now I am happy to speak
out more in class. Thank you to Lutheran for everything
you have done for me." - Nikita, Class of 2021
"LSWW gave me the opportunity to play all of my
favourite sports. I loved playing in the school
Rugby League teams. Lutheran also gave me the
opportunity to meet great friends and develop
great relationships with my teachers. I met my
friends Max and Alex in Kindergarten and we
have been best friends all the way through. The
school also has opportunities to participate in
Spellmaster and Mastermind, my best in
Spellmaster is round 4. I have loved my time
here and all the school has done for me. " - James, Class of 2021
"Some opportunities Lutheran School has given me is to try
different things I don’t usually do. One of the things I wouldn’t
have normally done is Math Olympiad because I don’t really
like doing tests, but doing this has helped me by trying to put
a lot of effort into my work. Another opportunity LSWW gave
me was that I got to go in Mortimer Shield and try Rugby
League for the first time. I am grateful for the opportunities
Lutheran has given me which has made me the person I am
today." - Max, Class of 2021
“LSWW gave me the opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
Running the Peer Support sessions gave me more confidence
because I got to lead a group. It also gave me more confidence
talking to the group and having someone to help me. Having a
Kinder Buddy helped me be more organised because you had to
collect them before Peer Support and meet them at a set time. I
have learnt to improve my team working skills within various groups,
because LSWW gave us opportunities to make new friends and to
grow up with people that had similar interests to me." - Zoe, Class of 2021
"I am grateful to LSWW for helping me develop my
communication skills. As a Peer Support leader I had to
deliver instructions to my group. That helped me
because I had to speak in front of my group. I am
grateful to LSWW for helping me develop my problem
solving skills. I learnt them when I had to solve
questions in Maths. These problem solving skills have
also assisted me when working in group situations and
across other subjects as well." - Ned , Class of 2021
“Some things that I am thankful for at LSWW are that the
school has helped me create friendships and get to know
people better and be friends with them. The school has also
helped me with my leadership and organisational skills
because I have been better at running groups like Peer
Support and being a House Captain. Another leadership
opportunity was having a Kinder Buddy who helped my
leadership because it was my responsibility to help him if he
needed it.” - William, Class of 2021
"I am grateful to LSWW for providing me with the
opportunity to do extra activities within the school.
Throughout my years at primary school, I have learnt
many skills that have helped me in my learning amongst
other things. Some of the skills I have learnt are;
leadership, organisation, resilience, persistence,
confidence and more. This year, I have also taken care of
my Kindy Buddy which has taught me to be more
considerate of others. I am thankful for all of my mates,
the memories we made and the fun times we all had." - Lucinda, Class of 2021
“I'm grateful to Lutheran School for teaching me new sports and also teaching me
new ways to solve math problems. I’m also grateful for the opportunities to
represent the school in both the Mortimer Shield and the Rugby Union teams.
Some skills that Lutheran has helped me develop are my leadership skills when
I have interacted with my Kinder Buddy and my organisation skills when I have led
Peer Support groups. I am thankful for the extra support with my learning that the
school has given me.” - Jackson, Class of 2021
"I have loved all of the sporting opportunities that LSWW has
given me, especially representing the school at RAS and CIS
swimming. These events have given me the opportunity to help
people and be a leader. LSWW has always encouraged me try
hard with everything I attempt. I have enjoyed being one of the
leaders of the school this year with my Kinder Buddies as well
as running a Peer Support group. They also have helped me
not to be as shy and get out and have a go. I am thankful for all
my time at Lutheran School.” - Isabella, Class of 2021
“Lutheran School has helped me in a couple ways, but mostly
in not being shy and learning to make friends and enjoy a
better social life. Over time my organisational skills have
improved as has my confidence. LSWW has also taught me
how to use technology properly with laptops/computers and
iPads. Another skill that this school has taught me is that I
should always try hard with all of my work that I do. This
school has provided me with opportunities to become a
leader, by organising and running a Peer Support group and
having a Buddy to look out for.
” - Bailey, Class of 2021
“I am thankful to LSWW because it has made me more
confident as I was really shy before I came to this school. At
this school I’ve had a lot of fun trying different things. I have
made some great friends at this school. I have loved the
opportunity to lead a Peer Support group and that has
given me leadership and organisational skills. Spending
time with my Buddy has made me more responsible as I
got to look after a younger student who was new and I got
to help them around the school. These opportunities have
developed my thinking and made me smarter and more
confident.
” - Allayna, Class of 2021
“I am grateful that LSWW has given me opportunities to
become a great leader. This has helped develop my
confidence and responsibility. I have gained leadership skills
by running a group in Peer Support and having a Buddy to
help and play with. Lutheran School has given me the skills of
teamwork as I have had to work with others during many
group tasks. During our Team 6 business task, I have learned
the skill of problem solving when something went wrong or
we didn’t agree with each other. I have learned time
management and to strive for excellence in all that I do.
” - Joyce, Class of 2021
“I have developed in leadership and being a role model
because LSWW has given me the opportunity to lead
a group in Peer Support and care for a Kinder Buddy. It
has helped me because I had to organise and lead
a group of people and help them with the activities
whilst also being a good role model. Lutheran also
made me develop skills needed to strive for success
because the teachers here taught me to not to just
stop at ‘good enough’ but try and make your
work excellent!
” - Adarsh, Class of 2021
“LSWW gave me the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and
increase my confidence. Some things that helped my confidence were
events like the sporting carnivals because they boosted my confidence
when everybody was cheering, singing and chanting. Some of the other
opportunities that this school has given me is competing in Spellmaster,
Mastermind and sporting gala days. One of the highlights that I have
really enjoyed doing in my time at Lutheran School was performing in
the Performing Arts concert.
” - Sophie, Class of 2021
“I have developed many skills during my time at LSWW. Two
that I am proud of are communication and organisation. I am
able to fluently talk to my peers and teachers without feeling
uncomfortable and I am also able to organise my activities to
get them done within the time frame. I had to talk to my
business group about ideas which helped me communicate
in an efficient way and I had to be able to lead my Peer
Support group while also keeping my Buddy happy. I have to
thank Lutheran for many things, awesome friends (like Seb
and Hayden), amazing teachers and great learning.
” - Xavier, Class of 2021
“I am thankful for all of the things that Lutheran School
has done for me. These include letting me represent the
school as Vice-Captain and giving me the opportunity to
participate in intra-school competitions, which have
helped me develop skills such as teamwork, resilience,
organisation and lots of other things that have made me
into the person I am today. This school has also helped
me grow as a person by teaching me things like;
leadership, common sense and all of the different
subjects. I am very grateful for all of the different
opportunities the school has given me in learning, in sport
and in life.
” - Samuel, Class of 2021
“Over my time here at Lutheran School Wagga Wagga, I have
come across many great opportunities. They have provided me
with a great education and I am more than grateful for my time
here. These opportunities and experiences have really helped
me develop some skills and made me who I am today. I have
been able to improve my teamwork and collaborative work.
Lutheran School has also given me many opportunities to
become a leader such as leading a Peer Support group and
having a Kinder Buddy.
” - Daniel, Class of 2021
“LSWW gave me the opportunity to create long lasting
relationships and it also gave me the chance to develop my
confidence to the best it could be. I have enjoyed going
into Spellmaster and Mastermind. At first, I didn’t really like
the teachers encouraging me to try new things but I am
very glad they did. If I didn’t have that encouragement I
wouldn’t have been able to have the opportunities and
excitement everyone else had. My confidence has
developed because of the teachers encouraging me to go
into these activities.
” - Elsie, Class of 2021
“LSWW has provided me with many opportunities
throughout my time here. I have been able to become
more of a leader and a lot more organised. Having a Kinder
Buddy helped me be a leader because they look up to me
so I needed to be responsible. Organising a Peer Support
group also helped me be a leader because I had to be
responsible enough to run a group. The experience of
remote learning helped me a lot with my time
management. LSWW gave me the opportunity to make
some amazing friends.
” - Elizabeth, Class of 2021
“I am thankful for the leadership opportunities that I have
had this year. I have had a Peer Support group with
students from all different year levels and in doing so I
got to meet new people. My confidence has improved
due to working with people I didn't really know and being
able to lead a group. I love that Lutheran School provided
us with a Kinder Buddy that I got to become close to and I
got to do activities with. I got to spend my lunch time with
my Buddy and have a lot of fun.
” - Summer, Class of 2021
“I am grateful to LPSWW for giving me the opportunity to
learn German, do STEM and even showed me how to lead
groups. From Kindergarten until Year 6 we learnt
German and I think it was really good to learn because
you never know when you're going to go to Germany.
STEM was really cool, like who wouldn’t like Engineering,
Science, Technology and Maths combined. Leadership
skills in Team 6 showed us how to lead a group through
Peer Support and we got to teach students of many ages
about school values.
” - Hayden, Class of 2021
“I am thankful to LSWW for giving me the opportunity to
participate in sports and activities such as Spellmaster and
Maths Olympiad. LSWW has also helped me become a great
leader in Peer Support, to my Buddy and in other school
activities. The school helped with my confidence, I can now talk
with a lot of people. It has helped me with my learning and
given me a great education, for example teaching me to read.
LSWW has helped me when I needed help with my work too.
” - Gabriel, Class of 2021
“I am a good swimmer. Last time I swam for the school I
came second in all my races except the 50 metres
breaststroke, which I came first in. I went to Sydney for my
swimming. I have improved my spelling a lot with the
help that I got. I have learnt a lot about technology thanks
to Xav. Peer Support was a lot of fun. Everyone had fun I
think. My Buddy was awesome and we had lots of
similarities. We both like bananas and we both have 2 best
friends. I will miss Jacob.
” - Sebastian, Class of 2021
“I am thankful for the sport and all the activities. It has
made me a better soccer player and our team has won
the season. LSWW gave taught me good sportsmanship
and team goals. I got into Sydney FC for the first time
because of our sports program. I am also grateful for the
Peer Support and Buddy system. Having a buddy helped
me with my leadership skills and made me a better
person to others. Delilah makes me feel like I have a
sister. In leadership we get lots of responsibilities like
leading a group on Peer Support.
” - Eve, Class of 2021
“I am grateful for the countless opportunities this school has given me. I am
thankful for the school teaching me how to be a leader and lead groups,
while being responsible in my actions, out of school and in school. I have
accomplished being responsible and organised because of Peer Support.
LSWW has gradually developed my confidence, and that I am grateful for.
Now I am able to talk to crowds. LSWW has given me great opportunities to
be able to show what I can do, such as debating. I found debating a good
opportunity that the school has given me. I never knew that I would be
good at debating.
” - Marina, Class of 2021
“Over my time at LSWW my confidence has improved. The
small groups that I participated in developed my confidence
as I felt more comfortable contributing to discussions in
little groups. This has helped me to feel more comfortable
in sharing my ideas in group work in the classroom. Being
a leader of a Peer Support group helped me to develop
patience, as the children didn't quite understand and had to
explain it to the children the way that they would
understand so they could do the task. It made me
understand that they can't get it straight away and they
need time to do the task.
” - Luke, Class of 2021
“I am grateful to LSWW because it has helped me become
more of a leader and to communicate clearly to everyone.
LSWW helped me to communicate better because the
teachers would try to start conversations when you walked
past. LSWW also supported me to become a better leader
because they have the Peer Support and Buddy programs.
This has helped me lead small groups and communicate to
people in other grades. LSWW has encouraged me to lead and
strive for the best in all I do and to be a generous and
considerate student.
”
“LSWW has given me opportunities to represent the school in
sporting teams and when I was in those teams I was mostly
one of the older students which meant in the game I was one
of the leaders and helped out the younger students in Year
5. Being one of the House Captains of the Tatton Hill boosted
my confidence as I had to speak and lead in front of a lot of
people. Another leading experience was with my buddy, he
was new to the school and I got to show him around the
school and help him with activities.
” - Angus, Class of 2021
“I am thankful for all my time at LSWW. I have had endless
opportunities such as sport carnivals, leadership and many
friendships. While doing these opportunities I had learnt many
skills. I had learnt how to be a leader. LSWW has given me
many experiences, such as being a School Captain, having
a Buddy and being a Peer Support leader. Another opportunity
that I had was to meet new people and make new friends. I had
made so many friends at LSWW and many will last a lifetime.
” - Zoe, Class of 2021
“I am grateful to LSWW for giving me the opportunity to
participate in sporting events. As a result, I have developed
teamwork skills because when you play a team sport you have
to work together with everyone in your group. When I competed
at RAS it gave me an opportunity to get better at my
sportsmanship skills and not get mad when someone else wins
but to congratulate them. I have loved going to all of these
events because you get to mix in with more people which has
developed my confidence.
” - Agath, Class of 2021
“LSWW gave me the opportunity to take control of my
schedules, activities, and routines by getting organised.
LSWW also gave me the opportunity to be confident. I am
putting my hand up in class and I am not afraid to make
mistakes and I am willing to try and strive for excellence.
While I am doing this I am staying on task and focusing on
the work. LSWW also gave me the opportunity to be a lot
more athletic. I made it into Sydney FC and I love touch now,
so I am grateful for that.
” - Youlita, Class of 2021
“Lutheran School Wagga Wagga has given me so many
opportunities such as sporting events which have helped
develop my social skills. I had great fun leading a Peer
Support group. This helped my organisational skills because I
had to get all of the activities ready. I have loved the
leadership opportunities that LSWW has given me. Leading a
Peer Support group and having my own Kinder Buddy has
helped develop these leadership skills. LSWW has made me
always try my best by encouraging me to do my work to a
high standard.
” - Lindsey, Class of 2021
“LSWW gave me the opportunity to learn and experience
different activities and try out new things. I have been
involved in many activities like Tournament of Minds,
Maths Games and Muddy Club. I also enjoyed all the
carnivals, my favourite part was the relays. Having a
Kinder Buddy helped me be more organised with my time
and develop my leadership skills. Being House Captain
and Peer Support leader gave me more confidence in
leading and organising things. LSWW also helped me push
harder for the things I really want to accomplish by letting
me experience and trying out new things.
” - Quinneszza, Class of 2021
“I am grateful to LSWW for the leadership opportunities they
have provided me. During my time at LSWW I have developed
the skill of leading others. Through the opportunities of being
a Peer Support leader, House Captain, and having a Buddy
I have developed more confidence and the ability to talk in
front of a wide range of people. LSWW also gave me the
opportunity to participate in sporting events, which helped
me understand and improve on the skills of helping others,
leading and organisation. These sporting events helped me
learn to be a good sport to every player and treat everyone
equally.
” - Lacey, Class of 2021
“I am thankful for all the amazing opportunities that
LSWW has given me. LSWW has given me the skill to
be more confident, especially in Peer Support. Being
House Captain and getting the chance to be a Peer
Support Leader has given me much more confidence
to talk in public. Gaining leadership skills has helped
me improve in lots of things like performing things in
front of a group of people or being the leader of
a group of kids.
” - Charli, Class of 2021
“I am grateful for going to LSWW because of the
amount of chances it has given me, such as sporting
events and leadership roles. It has given me
opportunities such as SRC, House Captain and leading
sporting teams. LSWW has given me the opportunity to
do things such as TOM, Maths Olympiad, Premier's
Spelling Bee, Spellmaster and Mastermind. It has also
given me the opportunities such as Mortimer Shield,
Trent Barret, swimming carnivals and so many other
things. The opportunities that LSWW have given me
have improved my leadership skills. My perseverance
has also improved, I now don’t give up so easily.
” - Joe, Class of 2021
“I’m thankful for LSWW because it helped me build
up my confidence and let me be able to speak in
front of a crowd. LSWW also helped me develop
friendships. The opportunities that LSWW gave me
were exposing me to a range of values like service,
justice, courage, compassion, forgiveness, love,
quality and hope. I've been able to develop critical
math skills that I will use throughout my life. The
Kinder Buddies have been really fun to play with.
” - Luka, Class of 2021
“Lutheran School Wagga Wagga has given me a good
education and a lot of opportunities for academic and sport
experiences like Spellmaster, Mastermind, Maths Olympiad,
Swimming Carnival, Cross Country and Athletics Carnival.
LSWW has helped me with leadership as well. We had
Buddies to take care of and we had to be a role model
towards them. LSWW has also taught me leadership skills.
We led different people from different year levels in Peer
Support and we had to get a lot of activities ready for Peer
Support. Preparing all the activities under a time limit also
taught me to be more organised.
” - Jeremiah, Class of 2021
“I started attending LSWW in 2020, I have achieved a lot of
things at Lutheran School. One of the things that I have
achieved is confidence. Before I came to LSWW I was not
that confident. I started hanging out with Marina and
that is where I got my confidence from. One of the other
things that LSWW helped me with was my shyness. I did
not talk to anyone and I spent most of my time on my
own. When I started Lutheran I hung out with a lot of
people and now I am not shy.
” - Demianna, Class of 2021
“LSWW has helped me in many ways but mostly
education and social life. LSWW has helped me
in education because we have such a fun way
of learning. We have lots of technology to help
us learn like iPads and laptops. LSWW has also taught
me to make new friends and to always be happy. I
have been given lots of leadership opportunities to
teach me leadership skills. I also participated in
extracurricular activities like Tournaments of Minds
and Maths Olympiad to develop my problem solving
skills that will help you with everyday life.
” - Austin, Class of 2021
“I want to thank LSWW for the sports gala days, especially the
rugby ones because I never knew how to play rugby until
these gala days. Gala days also developed my sportsmanship
because I became more humble and congratulated the
opposing team even if we lost. I’m also thankful for the
leadership opportunities LSWW gave me, for example, Peer
Support and Buddies. In Peer Support I developed
organisational skills because I had to organise all the
activities with the help of my partner.
” - Insaf, Class of 2021
