"Lutheran School Wagga Wagga taught me how to become more organised, especially when we get lots of assignments. "LSWW gave me the opportunity to play all of my favourite sports. I loved playing in the school Rugby League teams. Lutheran also gave me the opportunity to meet great friends and develop great relationships with my teachers. I met my friends Max and Alex in Kindergarten and we have been best friends all the way through. "Some opportunities Lutheran School has given me is to try different things I don’t usually do. One of the things I wouldn’t have normally done is Math Olympiad because I don’t really like doing tests, but doing this has helped me by trying to put a lot of effort into my work. Another opportunity LSWW gave me was that I got to go in Mortimer Shield and try Rugby League for the first time. “LSWW gave me the opportunity to learn and grow as a person. Running the Peer Support sessions gave me more confidence because I got to lead a group. “Lutheran School has helped me in a couple ways, but mostly in not being shy and learning to make friends and enjoy a better social life. “LSWW gave me the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and increase my confidence. Some things that helped my confidence were events like the sporting carnivals because they boosted my confidence when everybody was cheering, singing and chanting. Some of the other opportunities that this school has given me is competing in Spellmaster, Mastermind and sporting gala days. “I have developed many skills during my time at LSWW. Two that I am proud of are communication and organisation. I am able to fluently talk to my peers and teachers without feeling uncomfortable and I am also able to organise my activities to get them done within the time frame. I had to talk to my business group about ideas which helped me communicate in an efficient way and I had to be able to lead my Peer Support group while also keeping my Buddy happy. “I am grateful to LPSWW for giving me the opportunity to learn German, do STEM and even showed me how to lead groups. From Kindergarten until Year 6 we learnt German and I think it was really good to learn because you never know when you're going to go to Germany. STEM was really cool, like who wouldn’t like Engineering, Science, Technology and Maths combined. “I am a good swimmer. Last time I swam for the school I came second in all my races except the 50 metres breaststroke, which I came first in. I went to Sydney for my swimming. I have improved my spelling a lot with the help that I got. I have learnt a lot about technology thanks to Xav. Peer Support was a lot of fun. Everyone had fun I think. “I am thankful for the sport and all the activities. It has made me a better soccer player and our team has won the season. LSWW gave taught me good sportsmanship and team goals. “Over my time at LSWW my confidence has improved. The small groups that I participated in developed my confidence as I felt more comfortable contributing to discussions in little groups. This has helped me to feel more comfortable in sharing my ideas in group work in the classroom. Being a leader of a Peer Support group helped me to develop patience, as the children didn't quite understand and had to explain it to the children the way that they would understand so they could do the task. “LSWW has given me opportunities to represent the school in sporting teams and when I was in those teams I was mostly one of the older students which meant in the game I was one of the leaders and helped out the younger students in Year 5. Being one of the House Captains of the Tatton Hill boosted my confidence as I had to speak and lead in front of a lot of people. “Lutheran School Wagga Wagga has given me a good education and a lot of opportunities for academic and sport experiences like Spellmaster, Mastermind, Maths Olympiad, Swimming Carnival, Cross Country and Athletics Carnival. LSWW has helped me with leadership as well. We had Buddies to take care of and we had to be a role model towards them. LSWW has also taught me leadership skills.
